The Aviation industry in North Texas is always seeking qualified maintenance technicians. The industry has seen tremendous growth through the two large metropolitan and logistics focused Alliance airports. Millions of people and items are transported via aviation everyday around the world. All of these aviation companies require qualified maintenance for each of the aircraft used in operations.
There is a steady increase in the amount of aviation companies in North Texas.
NCTC has partnered with U.S. Aviation Academy in Denton to provide an accredited and FAA approved program that is taught at the state-of-the-art U.S. Aviation Academy facility. Students can choose to earn one or both level 1 certificates. One certificate specializes in Airframe FAA required curriculum and the other focuses on the Powerplant.
A student can also complete an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance that can greatly enhance their career growth opportunities.
Aviation Degrees & Certificates
NCTC proudly announces our new partnership with U.S. Aviation Academy LLC of Denton. This partnership provides students the opportunity to complete the technical training required for a career as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. This training builds a strong foundation centered around the requirements for licensing in Airframe and Power Plant maintenance. These FAA licenses are an industry standard for maintenance. The students then transition to an NCTC location to complete the academic requirements leading to an Associate of Applied Science. This degree provides an opportunity for career advancement and a pathway to further education at most Universities.
Aviation Airframe Maintenance Certificate
This certificate can be completed through a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. The program is designed to take one year or two semesters and consists of the following courses. This level one certificate is hosted at the U.S. Aviation Academy facility located in Denton, Texas.
Aviation Power plant Maintenance Certificate
The certificate can be completed through a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. The program is designed to take a year and a half or three semesters and consists of the following courses. This level one certificate is hosted at the U.S. Aviation Academy facility located in Denton, Texas.
Aviation Maintenance AAS
This degree can be completed through a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. The program is designed to take one year or two semesters and consists of the following courses. All of the technical courses required are hosted at the U.S. Aviation Academy facility located in Denton, Texas. Academic courses will be offered primarily at the NCTC Denton Campus.
