History
NCTC was officially established May 20, 1924 — making it the oldest continuously operating two-year college in Texas today! Originally named Gainesville Junior College, the school was founded by Randolph Lee Clark, a man with a family legacy in higher education and a true pioneer of public community college education in Texas. At first, the college shared space with the local Gainesville high school. Today, with the help of the local communities, NCTC has six campuses (Gainesville, Denton, Corinth, Flower Mound, Bowie, and Graham) throughout North Texas and a Champions Circle Training Center.
Fun Fact #1
Randolph Lee Clark's father founded Ad Ran College, the college Clark graduated from and the forerunner for Texas Christian University (TCU).
Fun Fact #2
Randolph Lee Clark also founded the junior college that would later become Midwestern State University, whom NCTC is partners with today.
