CHANGING THE CULTURE

Recognizing the need to build a college-going culture that will strengthen the workforce of the future, communities across the country are creating opportunities for students who might not otherwise be able to attend college.

Great regions and great economies invest in developing an equitable talent pipeline. We aim to inspire our communities and develop a stronger operational plan to produce the skilled and credentialed talent that our region needs and deserves.

  • You can partner with Red River Promise to make last-dollar scholarships available to high school graduates who will be attending North Central Texas College. NCTC kicked off its first cohort of Red River Promise students this semester with 199 students participating. This is 67% increase in the number of high school graduates attending NCTC. We are excited to continue to work with the participating school districts to enroll our second cohort in the Fall of 2023.

    In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Red River Promise program for future generations, we need your support to help establish the Red River Promise endowment. Our students depend on your support, eliminating financial barriers to education and creating a brighter future for the North Texas economy.

    The annual interest earned will provide the last-end scholarships to cover the tuition and fees for Cooke and Montague Counties and Graham ISD graduating seniors. Donations may be targeted to Cooke or Montague Counties or Graham ISD. This endowment will allow us to make the “Promise” to all students attending these participating school districts.

LEAVING A LEGACY

The NCTC Foundation is partnering with the community to ensure a beneficial secondary-education exists for everyone. In honor of NCTC’s 100th Anniversary, a bold, new Centennial Campaign has been set to raise $25 million in private gifts to underwrite an endowment dedicated to the Red River Promise by fall of 2026. The endowment will provide ongoing scholarships to deserving students in North Texas.“

    • Starting at $13,500, your endowed scholarship receives a name of your choosing and is awarded to students who earn their education by meeting the Red River Promise criteria.
