Allied Health Overview
Allied Health programs get you out of the classroom and into the healthcare profession quickly and fully trained. Medical personnel are always in high demand; in the office and on the floor. And there are many jobs and places of employment to choose from.

Allied Health currently supports 10 certification classes. Check each semester for the appropriate class schedule.
Before Enrolling
Before enrolling in any NCTC Allied Healthcare Professional Certification Course you must:
Complete a CASAS Assessment
Pass a State of Texas Criminal Background Check
Please read the Registration Steps and Requirements sheet for more information on requirements such as immunizations and proof of education.
Enrollment
To enroll in Allied Health courses, follow the steps below. Fill out the registration form in Step 2 and click the submit button on the last page.
- TAKE CASAS ASSESSMENT FOR MATH AND READING
CASAS is a FREE assessment.
You must register to take it.
CASAS is given only on the following campuses: Corinth, Bowie, Flower Mound, Gainesville, or Graham.

A score of 230 or higher is required for math and a score of 240 or higher is required on reading to register for an Allied Health NONCREDIT class.
You must complete this step before moving on to the next step of registration.
- COMPLETE THE NCTC ALLIED HEALTH REGISTRATION PACKET
Complete the packet online by going to mynctc.edu.
Without logging in, click the 'Continuing Education' tab and then click on to the 'Allied Health Program' link on the far left. You will find the Allied Health Program Application link here.
Click on this link to start the Application.
Please complete the entire application and upload required documents:
CASAS report with scores
High School diploma/GED (CNA applicants may be exempt if dual credit applicant)
- PAYMENT OF CLASS TUITION
FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE - There is NO FAFSA® for Allied Health NONCREDIT certification classes.
Tuition can ONLY be paid AFTER you have received Admissions Office email stating you are officially enrolled in class. This email may arrive after the enrollment period deadline date.
